Mixed Media Sculptures

After taking a sculpture class at DePaul University, I discovered a new passion off mine, sculpting. Sculpture is one of my favorite outlets for creativity and I love experimenting with different materials. Please enjoy my work and head to the Contact page for inquiries about commissions.

The assignment was to reconstruct an ordinary household item, so as an avid. bagel-lover I set out to replicate a plain bagel. This bagel is made from plaster and acrylic paint.

Plain Bagel

The assignment was to construct a figurative abstraction human-form. My piece is a commentary on women “bending over backwards” to conform to societal beauty standards. Project materials include: wood, cast bandages, tin foil, crochet, magazine clippings, and acrylic paint.
